Wishing all the best to Anaury & Dandi towards EJAT 2011.

The media council of Tanzania (MCT) has nominated the contestants of the Excellence Journalism Awards of 2011.
    While announcing the nominees the Executive Secretary of MCT, Mr Kajubi Mukajanga said in this year there is seventy contestants from both print and electronic media, who will compete in eighteen categories which are economic and business reporting, sports and culture, environment, health, children, HIV/Aids. Good governance, gender, telecommunications, science and technology, domestic tourism, conservation of national parks, malaria, photojournalism and best Cartoonist.

In the list that given by MCT, Mlimani Media has succeeded to bring two contestants who are Anuary Mkama (television category) and Tuma Dandi (radio category).

Commenting over their participation at EJAT 2011, the supervisor of HILL OBSERVER newspaper Mr Njonjo Mfaume said Anaury and Mr Dandi show a great courage and they give a challenge to other Mlimani media journalist “Their participation is a great honour to Mlimani media house, that’s shows how courageous they are, and it’s a challenge to other journalists of Mlimani media especially the HILL OBSERVER reporters to participate in this awards’’ said Mr Njonjo.

However, Mlimanitv coordinator Mr Issa Athuman said participating in EJAT awards can improve journalist’s ability in news writing and reporting. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage our journalists (Mlimani media house) from reporters to photographers, to participate in this award, they have done a great job and this is the time to show the world what they are doing’’ added Mr Issa.
